Epstein Family Law has earned Tier I rankings in Dallas/Fort Worth for family law and family law mediation in the 2027 edition of Best Law Firms, shortly after the firm marked its fifth anniversary.
Researchers from Best Lawyers in America, which publishes Best Law Firms, ranked the firm based on a rigorous research process that includes feedback from peers and clients.
“When I opened our doors in 2021, my goal was to build a firm that guides clients with honesty and a holistic dedication to a better future for them and their families," said firm founder Robert Epstein, who is Board Certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. "Five years later, to see that approach recognized by our peers and clients time and again is quite an honor. No case is too big or too complex for this team, and this recognition belongs to everyone here.”
Five Years, Five Milestones
As we look back on five years of Epstein Family Law, the firm’s milestones center around the team and its dedication to clients.
1. A bold start. Robert launched Epstein Family Law in 2021 with a vision for a boutique firm committed to compassion, honesty, integrity and respect. The firm handles complex divorces involving substantial assets and high-stakes child custody disputes, with a focus on helping families navigate what matters most.
2. A growing legal roster. Attorney Jordan Watson joined the firm as its first associate, followed by Tarah Hill, who clerked with the firm before joining in 2024. Both gained experience in SMU Dedman School of Law's VanSickle Family Law Clinic before launching their careers in private practice. This year, Jordan was recognized on the list of Rising Stars by Texas Super Lawyers and in D Magazine’s Best Lawyer Under 40.
3. A dedicated support team. Longtime paralegal and office manager Jenn Huey has since been joined by veteran paralegal Ashley Love and legal assistant Taylor Weesner. They're often the first people clients meet, setting the tone with professionalism and care.
4. A new way to resolve disputes. Robert added a mediation practice, giving families another path through divorce when a courtroom solution isn't necessary. In the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America, he was named Lawyer of the Year in Dallas/Fort Worth for Family Law Mediation.
5. Recognition across the firm. In addition to this year's Best Law Firms rankings, Doyle's Guide named Epstein Family Law one of the Leading Family, Matrimonial & Divorce Law Firms in Dallas-Fort Worth for 2026. Robert, meanwhile, earned a spot on D Magazine's Hall of Fame, was named a Preeminent family law practitioner in Doyle's Guide, and continues to appear in Texas Super Lawyers.
